Bethany Beach vacation

Ellie had her first beach vacation at the Delaware shore. Leslie Carroll joined us on our trip to stay with Mike Jeffers and Jim's family was also spending the week at a rental condo not far away. While we only took Ellie to the beach once, it was a fun vacation.
We learned quickly it was easier to swim with Ellie at the pool than in the rough ocean surf. Jim took a tumble in the water while wading with Ellie, but managed to keep her above the water!
We enjoyed relaxing afternoons at the pool, perfect weather, tax-free outlet shopping, good food and fun with our family & friends. Too bad it couldn't last longer!
Unfortunately we didn't do a very good job of capturing all of our activities on film, but you can take a look here at our
Bethany vacation pictures.

Luckily Leslie took some additional photos, so click here to see Leslie's pictures.

Ellie goes to work!

Ellie spent a day at the office with Rachel and enjoyed playing with Krista's daughter Sophia. They were invited to a meeting/pizza party at LexisNexis. Click here to see more pictures of Ellie at work.

Ellie photos - July 2007

Being our first child, Ellie gets more than her fair share of photos taken. She's very familiar with the camera and we're going to update them on our photo site monthly. Here is the first installment of Ellie pics - July 07.

Ellie's first professional sporting event

On August 1, 2007 Ellie attended her first Washington Nationals baseball game. The Nats were hosting the Cincinnati Reds (a Hankins family favorite) and the home team won 7-2.
Jim got us great seats behind home plate so we were close to the action. However, Ellie was much more interested in the people sitting around her in the stands than the players on the field. She lasted 4 innings and fell fast asleep on the drive home. Overall it was a successful outing for us all. Go Nats!

Welcome to our Blog!

In keeping up with the Joneses (or in this case the Hankinses in Loveland), we are going to use this page to provide updates to our family and friends on the exciting lives of the McCrackens!

Ellie is changing so much every day, it is hard to keep up with all of her developmental milestones! We will do our best to keep you up to date with pictures and anecdotes of her daily life. Occasionally you might get some news about Jim and Rachel, too.
