Ellie decided she didn't want corn we cut off the cob for her, she wanted her own cob with corn picks. So take a look at this video from Ellie's first taste of corn on the cob!
She had trouble biting off the kernels without a full set of teeth, but she enjoyed trying. She also liked the mess it made and was fascinated by the corn picks, too.

Goodbye 2700 N. Florida Street
Well, it didn't happen as quickly or as smoothly as we expected, but we have sold our house on Florida Street and are moving around the corner to 27th Road. We found a buyer for our house the last weekend in April and put another offer (our first one expired when our house didn't sell by April 10th) on the same house in our neighborhood the first weekend in May.We are scheduled to move in mid-June to our new home. We are looking forward to being there, but not so much to moving. If anyone wants to help pack or unpack, just let us know :-)
Earthquake in VA!
There was an earthquake this afternoon in our area and I felt it inside our house. It happened around 1:30 PM when I was upstairs and Ellie was sleeping. The entire house shook lightly, only lasting about 5 seconds. This map shows the affected area and the magnitude was 1.8. Not a big deal, but a surprising event for NOVA!

I entered a report about how the quake felt at our house, and if you check out the Statistics, you can see that 12 people in our zip code (22207) reported their experiences with the quake.
